Medaram Jathara

A little festival of tribal origin in Telangana has become a major pilgrimage in the last six years. The Medaram Jathara festival is held every two years at in Medaram Village of Tadvai Mandal deep in the heart of the thick forests of Mulugu district.

This Jathara has been declared as State Festival during 1998.This year the Jathara will be held from 5th February to 8th February 2020 (4-days)

The population of the little forest village at Medaram in normal times never exceeds 300. Suddenly, Last year nearly 1 crore pilgrims participated in the Jathara and during this year the expected pilgrims is 1.20 crore devotees come from all over Telangana,Andhra and neighbouring states like Orissa, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh

Day 1 (24-02-2022)

Goddess Saralamma Ammavaru will arrive on Gadde from Kannepally village

Ramappa Temple, Medaram Jathara Warangal, Mulugu, Telanagana

Day 2 (25-02-2022)

Goddess Sammakka Ammavaru will arrive on Gadde from Chilakala Gutta.
